Brian Johnsrud must be so proud. He and his son, Jared, recently each took first place in their age groups in a competition in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
The event, you ask? You might be sorry you did.
Father Brian spat his thawed cricket 22 feet, eight inches, while his son sent his cricket flying 10 feet, five inches. So how does one spit a cricket for such a long distance? Brian is glad to share.
He says you simply pick the biggest cricket you can find, turn it upside down and put it on your tongue. Oh yeah, and take a really deep breath without swallowing the cricket.
By the way, I did a little research and found that the world record holder also resides in Wisconsin. He’s Danny Capps, who once spat a cricket 32 feet, one-half inch.
Just when you think you’ve heard everything, something like this comes along.
