Wednesday Weisblog: Age-old wisdom with a twist

When I received this, I thought it was so funny I had to share it.

The Lacotta Indians have a very wise saying: When you discover you are riding a dead horse the best strategy is to dismount.

This is, however, not the strategy of government or corporate America.

They usually provide additional funding and/or training to increase the dead horse’s performance.

Then if that doesn’t work, they will do a productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the dead horse’s performance.

If that doesn’t work they rewrite the expected performance requirements for ALL horses.

When nothing works, you promote the horse to a supervisory position.
